'Planes' Exclusives: Teri Hatcher Describes Her A-truck-tive Heroine and the Disney Movies That Make Her Cry
week continues on the Fandango Family Room as we keep bringing your exclusive audio from our sit-down interviews with the cast of Disney’s latest animated hit!
Monday, we featured Dane Cook
, voice of the globe-trotting Dusty the Cropduster. Today, Desperate Housewives
star Teri Hatcher
tells us all about her compact character Dottie, an adorable truck. Even more adorable? The enthusiastic way that Hatcher describes that character to which she lends her signature voice.
“The first time I saw her in all of her glory, my reaction was, ‘She’s attractive! She’s kind of attractive! Who could think that a forklift could be attractive?’ And then I said, ‘Oh, she’s a truck. She’s a-truck-tive. That’s going to be my word. I’m a-truck-tive!’” Hatcher told us during a Planes press day at the Museum of Flying in Santa Monica, right outside Los Angeles. “It didn’t exactly make it to a T-shirt, but I thought I would start calling myself… an a-truck-tive little forklift.”
Listen to the rest of our interview with Hatcher right here to learn how she tackled Dottie’s auto-related jargon, and how she hopes her character has an influence on young girls in the Planes audience.
